TITOS SOMPA, a world renowned musician, dancer, and teacher who founded the first Congolese dance company in the U.S., has made his way to Albuquerque for a unique set of dance classes and a performance/fundraiser with Wagogo at The Source. He’s performed with an endless array of professional musicians and other notable performers such as James Earl Jones and Ann Miller. Originally from the Congo, he now resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is the founder and artistic director of Mbongi (Congolese for “learning”) Village which runs drumming and dance workshops around the country.

• Drum Classes: Wed June 3, Thur June 4 & Fri June 5, 5-6pm 

• Community Dance classes: Wed June 3, Thur June 4 & Fri June 5, 6-8pm

• Concert with Titos, Wagogo & Friends: June 6 6-10pm
